When a traveler requests a specific flight, many online sites display the lowest prices listed by the airline for that flight. Often there are no seats available at that price. Travelers will do a quick comparison shop for fares believing they have found a great bargain. However, it isn't until attempting to purchase the low fare they are notified there are no seats available at the price they originally saw published online. How do I save money with OneTravel.com? OneTravel.com's Farebeater searches all major airlines along with minor/regional discount carriers. Farebeater Ultra goes further to search OneTravel.com special negotiated with individual carriers and fares from consolidators that can also help save you money. No other online travel site offers you all these pricing options in one airfare search. OneTravel.com TIP: When pricing airline tickets, be advised of any restrictions that may be involved. In most cases, the cheaper the ticket, the more restrictions there are associated with that ticket. With many travelers, savings outweigh the restrictions. TAKE THE TIME TO READ THE SMALL PRINT. IT MAY BE SMALL BUT IT IS IMPORTANT! Do I need to register before I shop for airline tickets on OneTravel.com? Registration and passwords are not required to search for fares on the site. Should you decide to make a reservation, you will be required to create an account. All information is conducted through a secure server, so you can feel safe when entering your personal information. International consolidator tickets are also an excellent value, but please keep in mind that with the low prices there are also a number restrictions. Once international reservations have been made and you have provided payment to us, YOUR RESERVATION CANNOT BE CHANGED without large penalties (usually $300 or more dependent upon the airline). Additionally, INTERNATIONAL CONSOLIDATOR TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. Beginning with the first scheduled day of travel, your tickets are completely non-refundable and non-changeable. Any schedule changes must be made before the original departure date. To ensure credit card security, all reservations must be made in the EXACT name of the person traveling - nicknames cannot be used. For international travel, the name on the reservation must be EXACTLY as it appears on the traveler`s passport. Tickets can ONLY be shipped to the billing address of the credit card holder on whose card the ticket was purchased. This is done as a security precaution for our customers. If the tickets or confirmation documents must be mailed to an address other than the billing address on your credit card, you MUST fax a written request to our credit department at 915-332-7725. You must include a legible photocopy (front and back) of both your credit card and drivers license (passport if traveling internationally), credit card billing address, your day and evening phone numbers, and your name and address. Upon special request, tickets can be sent FedEx overnight for an additional fee of $22.00 USD. How do I book an airline ticket using Farebeater? Simply enter your departure and arrival information in the Farebeater form. Farebeater performs a comprehensive search of the fares in the OneTravel.com database and displays all flight options. For a more comprehensive search, Farebeater Ultra scours our system for additional options and even lower fares. Next, select the flights that most closely match your travel plans and complete the purchase by creating an account. Once you have completed your purchase, your paper airline ticket is delivered via FedEx; E-ticket confirmation numbers are sent via the U.S. Postal Service. Rest assured that there is a seat waiting for you aboard the plane. Flights are only booked and confirmed once you have been issued a confirmation number. How do I know what restrictions apply to the ticket that I want to buy? Once you have decided on a flight, all restrictions associated with that particular ticket are displayed before you complete your purchase. WE STRONGLY SUGGEST that you read through all of the restrictions. If the ticket you wish to purchase is restricted, you are entering into a binding contract. Other flights may cost more, but they will allow you more freedom and flexibility if you need to change your travel plans. It is important to consider all consequences before you purchase a cheaper ticket with restrictions. What is an E-ticket? An E-ticket (or "electronic ticket") is a paper-less ticket. Instead of receiving a physical ticket, a confirmation number is sent to be used at the airport check-in with your photo ID (such as a driver`s license) to receive your boarding pass. In some cases, the airlines may ask you to present the credit card that you used to book your flight. Using an E-ticket is very simple and completely secure. Most airlines offer E-tickets, especially for U.S. domestic travel. Overseas with customs and immigration limits the use of E-tickets internationally. Many international airlines are starting to offer E-ticketing on select routes. E-tickets have many benefits. You CAN`T LOSE an E-ticket since your ticket is your confirmation number and photo identification. And in the event that you forget the confirmation number, the flight number will do the job. OneTravel.com TIP: Some carriers require travelers to present the credit card they used to purchase the ticket online. If you are thinking about purchasing a ticket for a friend or relative who does not have access to your credit card, please call and check with the airline about their specific requirements. If I purchase an E-ticket, what do I get as proof of that purchase? Customers buying E-tickets will be sent a confirmation number via the U.S. Postal Service. Travelers can present that number at the time of airport check-in along with appropriate identification. I don’t want to buy an E-ticket. Can I buy a regular airline ticket? OneTravel.com highly recommends that travelers use E-tickets whenever possible. You may elect to have a paper ticket issued instead of an E-ticket. Keep in mind that to issue a paper ticket and have it sent FedEx, you will be charged an additional $11.00 fee. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
